In 2014, the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire made a drastic change for the company. Traditionally, the PA Ren Faire featured Queen Elizabeth I as the main character, but switched to King Henry VIII for the 34th season. Because it was such a significant change, the Faire wanted to tease the big move with a simple image and slogan.

 

The crown in the billboard is an illustration based off of the replica made for the Hampton Court Palace by Henry Collins.
