The Jute Bags are the ultimate star products of IDT. Unfortunately, the previous range of bags were done entirely using braided jute, making the bags excesively heavy and rigid. 

 

In my last visit to IDT's workshops in Anantapur, I aimed to create new bag designs, combining braided jute with fabric, in order to create more flexible, modern and youthful bag proposals. After three intensive days working hand to hand with the "akkas" in the workshops, we obtained three different jute&textile proposals to be included in the new range of products of IDT.
 
They are currently being produced in the handicraft workshops by the differently abled rural women in Anantapur.
 
Through helping develop new products with my designs, the final intent is to increase the sales of IDT products and provoque a Social Impact in the district of Anantapur and a Socio-Economical Empowerment of these women.
