Rosita Clavel Libretto
Book design for Rose English

This libretto, written in 1997 by British performance artist Rose English, forms the basis of the yet unrealised performance Rosita Clavel – a horse opera. It was created for singers Mike Henry, the Cosmic Voice of Bulgaria Choir, The Ancient Orchestra and seven equestriennes with their horses; the music was composed by Ian Hill.

The libretto booklet was commissioned by the artist to feature on a music stand in her exhibition 'Rose English: The Eros of Understanding' at Kunsthal Charlottenborg.

The exhibition ‘Rose English: The Eros of Understanding’ ran at Kunsthal Charlottenborg in Copenhagen (Denmark) until January 1st, 2015.
