New RED Studio logo

Just like the shoe-maker's children have no shoes, the graphic designer's logo sometimes needs upgrading too!

After a couple of years with a text-based logo, I came up with this concept literally in the middle of the night while already in bed. It's... well... it's a red studio! :)

I'm still not 100% in love with it yet. Some tweaking or a revision may still be in the works.
EDIT Oct 12
As I thought would happen, this logo concept took some rethinking and tweaking until I stumbled upon the composition that made me pump my fists in the air.

Previously, the company's colours were red (obviously), black and grey but I had been looking at a more varied but flat, muted palette. I had thrown out the thought of incorporating black in the new palette, yet incorporating it has seemed to wrap all the other colours together.

The edges of the red shed are rounded in contrast to the sharp edges of the other elements.

The logo/related items are based on a red/green/gold colour scheme, modeled from the colours of the Grenada flag (and also the colours associated with rastafarianism). Locally, the use of those 3 colours, usually in the ugliest and most garish ways, is a ubiquitous part of PR and patriotic marketing. However, I think I have managed to utilise them, harmonised by the black and blue, without the artwork shouting "Hey, I'm the flag colours!".

Further tweaking may ensue however!! :)
