Lupa’s Coffee is located in College Station near the Texas A&M campus. Named after the owner’s dog, Lupa’s Coffee was created to be a second home for early morning commuter and Texas A&M students. The environment of the establishment is homey with wood grain counter and table tops, blackboard walls with chalk typography decoration. The logo was created to relate the care and compassion that Lupa, the female wolf that nursed the founders of Rome (Romulus and Remus) to the care and compassion the owner places into each cup of their coffee. The mark itself utilizes negative space to create the outline of the coffee cup, which is being lovingly held by Lupa. Much like curling up in a corner of your home with a good book, Lupa demonstrates the same home felt comfort snuggled up with her cup of coffee. The simplicity of mark allows it will work in any color in a variety of layouts.
