Mobility is the most critical issue today in São Paulo. The city’s traffic is rated as one of the worsts in the world and public transportations does not suit to the demand. Furthermore, private car culture is still very intense in Brazil and the government's policies of use reduction are very contested by a huge part of the population. On the other hand, another big group of Brazilian citizens is becoming very conscious about mobility, they are supporting political changes on the streets and trying independent ways to tackle the problem.
This project is a propose for the future of transportation in São Paulo, which started by understanding the commuters' needs and the upcoming challenges of the hugest Brazilian city. Comuto is a service of shared transportation that contemplates a driverless vehicle and an app as touchpoints.
