Digestive disorders seem to be so common these days that it seems like almost once a month I get asked to illustrate an article about the latest science on the subject. Coming up with a different concept for the same subject matter can be quite a challenge!
For this article, which discussed each of the more common sources of digestive distress, a plumbing metaphor was employed.

Showing each of the disorders in the opener allowed parts of the illustration to be reused in the main article.
