Menu for coffee bar “London”

For a Minsk coffee lover, the word “London” first of all refers to the bar at 18 Niezaliežnaśći avenue and only secondly to the capital of Great Britain. The music, the inimitable atmosphere and, most importantly, interesting visitors make this place not only a café but also the state of soul. I have designed ten menu covers in five moods for those who know what Minsk-based London is.
Double-deckers, red phone booths, the guard of honour, English tea, rain, checked clothes and fox terrier Montmorency – these are the famous symbols of the United Kingdom’s capital.
The atmosphere of London can be easily found in Belarus – this is the main concept of the menu. The famous characteristics of Great Britain and its capital are combined with Minsk sights, which results in new symbols and makes you think that the city of fogs is quite close, at the bottom of your coffee cup. Five moods are reflected by the colours of the covers: "contemplative" Crayola turquoise, "animate" mint cream, "melancholic" blue, "happy" deep yellow, "active" salmon.

The end-leaf of the menu
The end-leafs of all covers has the features of the British flag, however, it does not reproduce the flag to avoid conventional graphic ideas. It resembles arrows which point to the pages of the menu following the visitor’s glance. The texture of the watercolour paper serves as the background for all menus and does not make visitors stressed; however, it has some individuality and all backgrounds are different. The menu has metal rings for pages with different types of coffee drinks and desserts.
