Restating Crickets
This was the end result of a 5-week workshop called Restating the Obvious, taught by Steve Whitacre. The object I chose to restate for my final piece was crickets. I did this by designing and building a tree-like tower for the predatory lizard (named Sam). I attached smaller display cages full of crickets in proximity to Sam so he could see and hear his food but could not get to it. Mounted on the display cages are photos of previous crickets that Sam had devoured.
