Mural was inspired by old Ice Cream shop that used to be in the building. Place had rich history and is remebered by many people in Carlow town. I wanted to capture the memories of being a child through this mural.

Shop used to sell real icecream and owner was a teacher in one of the local schools.

Process of painting took about 5 days and great conversations were had with people passing by in relation to memories they had of the place as well as memories of Carlow Town.
It was fun and interesting project to be involved in and a great learning experience for working on large scale project.

This was part of Dublin Street Art Project created by PureThinkig Community for Eigse 2014
