冬至 the Winter Solstice Festival
冬至，在台灣是慶祝團圓的日子，家人朋友們會相聚，
一起吃著白色和粉紅色的甜湯圓，或吃著包著餡料的鹹湯圓。
冬至也是北半球全年白天最短、黑夜最長的日子，
但吃一碗暖呼呼的湯圓下肚，
寒冷的一天，身心都溫暖了起來！
The Winter Solstice, known as "Dongzhi" in Taiwan, is a day for celebrating reunions. Family and friends gather together to enjoy white and pink sweet tangyuan (glutinous rice balls in sweet syrup) or savory tangyuan stuffed with fillings. The Winter Solstice is also the day with the shortest daylight and longest night in the Northern Hemisphere. However, having a warm bowl of tangyuan and the company of family and friends makes the cold day warm both body and soul.
