Rainy Clouds at the Horizon
Excerpt from,Never burn down the whole barn for a little mouse, and other
Yoruba tales, by Pierre Droal
"What’s the common point of a young peasant getting rich thanks to an invisible plant, a farmer burning his whole barn down because of a little mouse, and a hunter dying of thirst under the pouring rain ? These three stories come from Yorubaland, situated in West Africa, between Nigeria and Togo ; a thousand years old country , where tales and sayings are given a prime position."
"Running Into the Wild", from a Nordic Tale, Ashes Boy, by Pierre Droal.
"Once upon a time, there was a large oak, known as the elder of the forest. One day, inside its hollow trunk, a boy was born. He was so strange looking : both his skin and hair were as white as cold ashes. Most of all, into the palms of his hands was lying an amazing power that would soon change the fate of the Kingdom."

The Great White Wolf
from, The Wolf’s Eyelashes, a Japanese tale by Chantal Nguyen.
"Yukino’s father was the greatest weaver of the country. She admired him so much ! The young girl used to spend many hours getting lost in those marvellous landscapes he skilfully painted on precious fabrics : colourful birds, flowers and foggy mountains … She was craving for his knowledge, but alas ! He suddenly passed away. Within a few days, his masterpieces were scattered throughout the city, leaving Yukino without any mean. However, in spite of adversity, she’ll soon discover that many talents are hidden within herself."
