Mechanism
In an effort to utilize Bamboo's natural properties we went with a design that uses its flexibility to change how the light fills the space. Here we have a lamp that adds both focused and ambient light to the room. The rotation mechanism allows you to have control over the amount of extra ambient light you want to fill the space.
We chose to use PLA a bioplastic (from sources such as corn starch or sugar cane) as our material of choice and thin bamboo slivers of ~14mm thick.
