TMT Time Tracker and To-Do List Maker

Hi! 👋🏻
I am Bahar, UX/UI Designer who brings future-oriented, unique and comprehensive user experiences to people with need.

                                        Progress Tracker - TMT
Challenges:
To find out the pain points of the app and request solutions to improve the user experience.
Deliverables:
-Strategy
-User Research Report
-Persona
-Task flow
-Sketches (Lo-Fi)
-UI( Hi-Fi)
-Prototype
-Role: UX/UI Designer

About the app:
(TMT) is a mobile app /platform for people to track time and schedule everyday to-do tasks.
Challenge:
Exploring the task of comprehending the feedback from (TMT)
Identifying the areas of dissatisfaction
Increasing the strategies to enhance the user’s overall journey.

Process:
As the first step user investigation, I indulged in usability testing to get the obvious issues. In the synthesis stage, I used affinity mapping to reveal pain points and diagnosed priorities. Following, I designed task flows to pinpoint areas where users faced difficulties, developed Lo-Fi sketches and Hi-Fi prototypes. Last but not least, I confirmed with users to validate and guaranteed that the redesign effectively addressed the known pain points.

The project timeline length is 2 and a half weeks.
Now let’s go down deeper into each stage.

Research:
Imagine you learned about how being organized and planned can make you go step further and you decided to create your own to-do list and track your progress. You share it with one of your colleagues and he shows you the (TMT) app.
You install the app on your device and you realize that you can make your to-do list, take notes and track your progress and you even get a month of trial.
You were not satisfied with the way you work and you didn’t even know what you did throughout the day but this app can show you how much you worked and what is on the list to do next.
Synthesize (my map)
I decided to focus on the main 2 categories. First the comparison from other products and the pros of my app. Given a short amount of time, by researching the user’s needs and cons of I made up my mind in 2 problems to focus on:
Difficult to have both a to-do list and time tracking.
Difficult to see the progress today  since last time.
Persona
Task Flow
I created task flows  for steps a user typically goes through in order to complete two (or three) commons tasks in (TMT)
User wants to have a to-do list
User wants to track time
User wants to have a track of emotions/feelings
LO-FI Sketches
Based on the established pain points, I drew several options to test and I went with the most appropriate one to optimize the user experience. During the process of redesign, I continued pointing to the target audience, the vision of the company and my aim to focus on how to improve the user experience rather than making the design changes.
Prototype
HI-FI Prototype
Moving forward with the process, I changed my Lo-Fi drawing into a Hi-Fi prototype. Below are the result of my Hi-Fi prototype.
                                             Colours
                                      Animated Prototype
                                                   Validate
Conclusion

After two (and a half) weeks of user research, analysis and redesign, I was able to validate the assumptions and changes I had made. I did this by testing my clickable prototype with 5 new users the results are:

-Searching for cosiness: 5 out of 5 users found it in the “How do you feel?” section.
-Planning: 5 out of 4 users found this enjoying and easy to do
-Tracking: 5 out of 5 users were able to find track every task easily
-Motivation: 5 out of 4 users were motivated after the daily motivation quotes
-Transactions: 5 out of 5 users found the daily transactions easy and soothing

After Thoughts

This UX/UI case study has been a challenging but an interesting experience for me. I was so overwhelmed when I first started to sort out the idea, however as I followed along each day and took notes, it got easier and easier to figure out.
This case study was done in a short amount of time, I am very glad and proud of myself to overcome this challenge and create something unique and evergreen

Note: I don’t work for, nor am affiliated with TMT. This is my UX/UI Case Study that has been done to showcase my skills.
