AMD 314 - Mads Nissen Reflection

Mads Nissen video on Documentary Photography advice is an interesting perspective. I always had the opinion that non-fictional photographs are the most powerful kinds of images. The reason why is because it's undeniable facts, that is what's going on in the world. Therefore there's a profound effect on the viewer as their worldview gets expanded after seeing an image of what current world events are right now.

Another thing that I picked up on his advice is to not put too much into the photo. He states that the story can be told one subject, one angle. I feel that there's truth in that, less is sometimes more. A clear message and idea is surprisingly challenging but that helps bring the idea out more.

Some of this advice I have heard before, however it is good to refresh myself on it because it can be easy to forget about them and go into the same pitfalls again. All in all I found the video to be very educational.
