Our Planet Week is an annual illustrative challenge event that aims to raise awareness of the environment in creative ways. Every year more and more people join the participation, and this year I also took part.

I want to share the illustrations that I created for this year's themes. My goal was to create illustrations without characters, but showing the obvious presence of humanity in all natural spheres.

This illustration is inspired by a documentary I watched few days before. It said that some trees are only able to produce seeds at extreme temperatures, so controlled fires are regularly set in such forests. I was struck by how the destructive power of fire can be used for good.
