ARTS 222 Typography Project
This poster was created as part of a typography assignment. I chose to use text from Kendrick Lamar, an artist whose music I greatly enjoy. Expanding on topics personal was something I was interested in doing.
The grayscale brick textured background and the red text in the middle were meant to combine two of Kendrick Lamar's album covers. The focus was on type and I wanted to keep the rest of the poster as simple as I could while still using an interesting background that helped to emphasize the foreground text. The limitation on font and color allowed me to get creative with my use of text and coloring. The red in the center of the poster added the amount of visual interest I was looking for.
