This project is a representation of the Seven Creative Strategies
through compositions made with a toilet paper roll. This project
also aims to practice and learn these strategies for future compositions, in a real world environment as a graphic designer.
Combination: I combined three images together to get to this final design. First, I looked for a toilet paper roll that would look like a skiing lane. Once I found it, I started to look for a picture of a mountain that could be in the frame.
Then, I needed to find a picture of someone who was skiing. For both the toilet paper roll and the person skiing, I selected the objects, and copied to a different layer. I made sure the edges looked sharp and realistic. SInce there are shades in the mountain, I thought it would be nice to add one for the skier to make it more realistic. So I just copied the skier, and made sure to change its color to back, and I decrease opacity and size.
Juxtaposition: This design is one of my favorites because I love the contracts of the picture and toilet paper as the headphone. Also, this was a very simple design to make I basically only got two images, a picture of the man, and of the toilet paper. I selected the toilet paper from its original images, and copied it to a different layer. since the image of the man is dark, I needed to add shadows to the toilet paper to make it blend better with the image.
Metaphor/Simile: For this design, I only combined two images. The camera, and the toilet paper roll. The only change I made was to the toilet paper roll, where I selected it, and copied to a different layer, then I smoothed the edges a little bit to make it blend better with the camera.
Isolation: For this design, I only combined two images. The desert, and the toilet paper roll. The only change I made was to the toilet paper roll, where I selected it, and copied to a different layer, then I added a shadow to it to make it more realistic. I smoothed the edges a little bit to make it blend better with the sand.

Change of Context/ Environment: For this design, I only combined two images. The sunflowers picture, and the toilet paper roll. The only change I made was to the toilet paper roll, where I selected it, and copied to a different layer, then I change it’s brightness a little to make it blend better with the overall image. I smoothed the edges a little bit to make it blend better with the images. I also used the eraser tool on photoshop so the stem would come out of the toilet paper roll.
Physical Shape Similarity: For this design, I only combined two images. The woman at the beach drinking coconut water picture, and the toilet paper roll. I had a little bit of a challenge to combine both images because her fingers holding the coconut. I needed to use the eraser tool to show her fingers properly with as much details possible.
Material Change, Swap, or Focus: For this design, I only combined two images. The sushi picture, and the toilet paper roll. The only change I made was to the toilet paper roll, where I selected it, and copied to a different layer, then I change it’s brightness a little to make it blend better with the overall image. However, I still having difficulties to see the toilet paper rolls as a sushi.
