Hello, and welcome! My name is Grant Miller, I am a student at Brigham-Young University of Idaho, and I am studying to be a major in Graphic Design. For this project, my Typography 230 class has studied two giants in the typeface community. Those being the serif font Stempel Garamond, and the sans-serif font Neue Haas Grotesk. With these typefaces in mind, we each individually created compositions of 5-8 alphanumerical (ABC/123) glyphs respective of each typeface. The goal of each composition is to capture the qualities of the elegance of the serif, and the stoic simplicity of the sans-serif, all while using the elements of design to create interesting and meaningful representations of the two. And together, they were designed to belong in harmony.
Serif: Stempel Garamond. Pure vector preface composition. Glyphs represented: 6, q, r, a, and P
Sans-Serif: Neue Haas Grotesk. Pure vector preface composition. Glyphs represented: P, y, d, c, r, and j.
