Human-powered airship

This video shows the kinematics sequence of a human-powered airship that me and two other students developed at University of Technology of Belfort-Montbéliard (UTBM), our engineering school in France. The mechanical system basically has two modes of propulsion: a "rowing machine" mode for straight flight and a "crankset" mode for take-off, landing and navigation phases. This system runs a 2-blade propeller at the back of the pilot. the navigation is allowed by a 2-axis handlebar controlling the rudder and stabilizer behind the propeller.
