    The present project was carried out in the course Corporate Identity at Techological Educational Intitute of Athens, having as professors Ms Katerina Antonaki and Eleni Martini, by the stydents Marianta Theodoratou and George Tsavalos. Identity for Faculty of Graphic Design in Athens, Greece.
 
In June of 2014 we designed the new identity
for the Faculty of Graphic Design at T.E.I of Athens.
 
The aim of this specific project was the creation of a Corporate and Visual Identity of the Faculty of Graphic Design at Technological Education Institute of Athens. It refers to the creation of a logo, cards, envelopes, posters, signalization and other applications. The present project was carried out in the course Corporate Identity at Technological Educational Institute of Athens, having as professors ms Katerina Antonaki and Eleni Martini, by the students Marianta Theodoratou and George Tsavalos
 
Firstly, we decided to make a video, asking people questions such as what Graphic Design is, what tools are necessary for a design and if you want to become a Graphic Designer for one day. Inspired by people’s views and unclear awareness of what exactly Graphic Design is, we designed the logo based on the concepts of observation, inspiration and design. These concepts are exactly what Graphic Design is and it is more familiar to a lot of people. Our goal was to design a logo and a visual identity that it can be very easily understood by people in Greece and around the world. 
Signalization/Icons
 
The signalization is made by colourful plexiglass and the elements of the logo are used to form it. The signs are divided in three diferent colours. The red background indicates prohibition of smoking and it is also used for the fire extinguishers. The green signs are used to indicate all the other signalization of the place and the yellow ones are used for information.
 
The pattern of the branding is also used on all the signals which are located outside the classrooms. The red colour symbolizes the Art lessons such as Freehand Drawing, Basic Design and Colour-Composition. The green symbolizes the Design classes such as Corporate Identity, Visual Communication and Branding Strategy etc and the yellow, refers to Architecture courses such as Industrial Design, Graphic Design in Environment context etc.
 
 
 
Applications.
 
A pattern is used in many applications; this pattern is created by the elements of the logo. We designed eight different envelopes in order to cover the needs for the small and large packages, incoming and outcoming envelopes as well as official and unofficial envelopes. On the back side of the unofficial envelopes, there is a figure formed by the elements of the logo. We have used three colours for the business cards.
 
The students will be able to experiment using the emblems of the logo both synthetically and connectively, on the back side of the cards.
 
 
Students welfare.
 
Student ID, tubes for sketches, four different sketchbooks (one sketchbook for each year of the University), t-shirts, cups and students tote bags are included in the students’ wellfare. We also design visitor cards that were printed on different kinds of paper.
 
Symbolic posters created by students. The elements of the logo as well as some typographic elements will be given to students by the University so as to create their own emblem face. The posters will be placed in the corridors of the Faculty.
