Fundamental Particles Ranked by Size

This is a data visualization that had been on my mind for 14 years. In 2023, I did it.
It's very close to my heart as I used to have a small business selling subatomic particle toys. Because there is such a vast difference between the largest and smallest subatomic particles, this graphic was one of the most challenging I've ever tackled. Over the course of two months, it went through many iterations which I documented on my  blog. To make the graphic more relatable and accessible for the general public, I included the top five mysteries of particle physics and how studying particles may help solve them. Special thanks to James Gilles of CERN who consulted and gave valuable criticism and feedback as this graphic was evolving.
