2D CRANKS POSTER DESIGN - INDONESIA BMX PARTS BRAND (2010)
In 2010, I helped my friend Didi, who is a legendary BMX rider. He was starting his own BMX brand called 2DBMX and had just produced a crank in Bandung, Indonesia. The crank was designed with a 2-piece model to make it lightweight without compromising on its strength. Around the same time, I was completing my studies in graphic design, and Didi asked me to design an attractive advertisement for his new crank product. I accepted his offer, and with the help of some friends, including Maruto and Taufan for photography and Tomi and Didi for modeling, we worked on the project together.
The 2D Crank is a BMX part product from 2DBMX, made entirely in Indonesia. This Crank has undergone months of research to ensure it is both lightweight and strong. The 2D Crank is made using an argon welding process with steel-wire, which results in a perfectly welded product that is highly resilient. The 2D Crank is designed with a 2-piece crank model and is 175mm in size, making it very lightweight. It has a spindle with a diameter of 19mm with 48 spline, and all materials have undergone a heat-treated process to ensure they are strong.
