Per questo progetto di gruppo il brief corrispondeva alla realizzazione di una nuova visual identity per il museo Maiiim di Genova ed allestire lo spazio espositivo per ospitare la mostra intitolata "Time is an illusion", dove parteciperanno diversi artisti di media art.
For this group project the brief corresponded to the creation of a new visual identity for the Maiiim museum in Genoa and to set up the exhibition space to host the exhibition entitled "Time is an illusion", where several media art artists will participate.
Siamo partite con l'ideazione di un nuovo marchio e abbiamo preso come riferimento simbolico il targam, oggetto che collega la storia alla contemporaneità in quanto fa parte dell'immaginario di ognuno fin dall'infanzia, ma in questo caso lo abbiamo utilizzato per esprimere l'idea che Maiiim non è solo un museo ma un centro che ospita varie iniziative e programmi, proprio come la nostra mostra che ospita vari artisti, e declinando la forma base (che abbiamo associato all'immagine istituzionale) si possono creare le varie correnti (da utilizzare come grafiche decorative).
We started with the creation of a new brand and took the tangram as a symbolic reference, an object that connects history to contemporaneity as it has been part of everyone's imagination since childhood, but in this case we used it to express the idea that Maiiim is not just a museum but a cultural center that hosts a lot of initiatives and programs, just like our exhibition which hosts various artists, and by declining the basic form (which we have associated with the institutional image) the various currents can be created (to be used as decorative graphics).
Abbiamo elaborato l'animazione del logo e la seguente immagine coordinata per il visual istituzionale.
We developed the animation of the logo and the following coordinated image for the institutional visual.
Per quanto riguarda la mostra abbiamo optato per una forma indefinita, dinamica, dai colori sgargianti che sta ad indicare la variabilità del tempo, la sua trasformazione, lasciando libera interpretazione ad ogni artista che partecipa alla mostra.
As regards the exhibition, we opted for an indefinite, dynamic shape, with bright colors which indicates the variability of time, its transformation, leaving free interpretation to each artist who participates in the exhibition.
Siamo passate successivamente a capire come suddividere lo spazio, cercando di mettere insieme immagine coordinata e valori che abbiamo associato a questo centro culturale, renderizzandolo in 3D.
We then moved on to understand how to divide the space, trying to put together a coordinated image and values that we associated with this cultural center, rendering it in 3D.
