    The inspiration for making “The Courage To Be A Tree” was to use all recycled materials to express through painting a little story of courage, which would reflect what the Straub Environmental Center is about for its fundraiser event. Read Less

She would wear flowers in her hair and sing with all her might wherever she went, even when it seemed no one was listening. She said in her next life she would be a tree and needed lots of practice. Trees are never afraid to bloom, and they never give up, she would say. And that's why she sang every day. She was working up the courage to be a tree.
