We were required to create a functional LED herb planter. the requirements for this planter included a section of LED strip lights , a curve as well as 3 pots. Throughout this process we will be learning how to work with ABS plastic and follow the design process.

ABS Prototype 

I began with the base of the planter where the water would be stored. I decided to test out the heat gun in order to create some perfect curves and indents. Instead I ended up melting the prototype. from there on I didn't use the heat gun.

Reflection 

Overall, I found ABS  a very challenging material to work with. This is because of the way it has to be bonded. My design incorporated a lot of curves which made the bonding very challenging. Although I attempted to use the heat gun, my lack of experience cause me to melt the prototype and I had to make some changes and start again. Although I was faced with many challenged I am extremely happy with the outcome.
