Kinetic Chitchat, Talking Architecture

Kinetic Chitchat
2011, 4th student project, Architecture, Thammasat university
Final project in my uni life, I studied Standbeest, moving monster by Theo Jensen, and I applied mechanism into my architecture. While I was studying about Standbeest's machanism, I lerned how to use Grasshopper, add on application running on Rhino3D, and use it to suopport me to create complexity achitecture. The architecture located in Suansanti Chaiprakarn, Bangkok, the park that is really rich of many activities. I named my architecture Kinetic Chitchat, because I tried to provide an architecture to support people in this park to communicate to each other. when someone try to sit or lie on the architecture, it s going to turn on mechanism to make sound on any skin of the architecture.
