The goal for this assignment was to redesign the dust jacket of an existing book. I chose to go with 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' by Sara J. Maas. The book's main location is a made up place known as 'Spring Court' in a made up world. Spring Court is exactly as it sounds, filled with flowers, bright warm sun, and the mansion of the leader of the Spring Court. I imagined this book in a pink color pallet to convey the feeling innocence that the main character, Feyre, feels when she is first brought to the fae lands. On the back cover I added all information under the mountain range to allude to the location that the main character has to go to called 'Under the Mountain'. On the inner flaps I added vine and brush stroke details surrounding the blurb and author info sections to stick with the theme of growth.
