Cardboard Wineglass Packaging

For the third and final project for my Foundations of Design class, we were asked to create packaging for three stemless wineglasses out of E-flute cardboard. Restrictions included having no more that four separate pieces making up the packaging and having those pieces fit on a 16x32" space.
Design of a single package involves three hexagon compartments bound together by a strip that meets at the top to create a hanger/handle for the package. Opening of the package is made intuitive by thumb-hole affordance that pulls out the locking tab.
As the package is opened, the aperture closure on the sides are put in motion.
