It was Freshman Night at Lakota West High School Friday night, so there were 340 students on the field at half-time. But, before the freshman joined the Marching Firebirds for a Beach Boy medley, the Firebirds premiered Tchaikovsky's "New World Symphony," the opener to their competition show: BEST OF WEST! The Lakota West Marching Firebirds are directed by Greg Snyder, Andrew Carr and Tom Racic.
