Esmee & Eraya Brooch

Esmee & Eraya Brooch
About two years ago, around the time I had almost finished my probation time,
I was assigned the task of designing a brooch.

The brief I received was to create a brooch with a basic shape of the logo,
which was going to be released for the Eid celebration.

While I was thinking about what would be a good theme for an Eid celebration,
I found out that the scarf theme that would be launched for the Eid celebration was Marrakesh.

This became the inspiration for my brooch designs.
I ended up creating many alternative designs,
which led to the decision to launch two brooches instead of one. :)
The two brooches that was inspired by Marrakesh
Koutoubia Mosque, Marrakesh photo by Andreas Mariotti.
As alwasy, the process is designing - visualization - 3d printing - sampling.
I also created the technical drawing and sent the drawing and the 3d model to our vendor.
Eraya brooch, this one is inspired by this geometrical pattern tiles.
Final design render vs 3d print model alternatives. I quite like the one in the middle :)
I learned to create a technical drawing at the university.
As of today, these brooches have been sold out on their website. :)
