Intro to Graphic Design Project: Mississippi Eats
This project was all about creating a fictional food company and a snack to go with it, and then also making an ad, a logo, and a zipbag mock up of said snack using Adobe Photoshop.
I first made the logo by making 5 sketches of said logo and choosing my favorite. I then scanned it, cropped it, and put it into Adobe Illustrator. I then used the Pen tool to make the logo, and used the Text tool to make the 'Foods' using Philly Sans as the font.
So for the ad, I wanted to go for a humorous type poster inspired by some of the M&M's ads that I've seen. For this, I found a stock photo of a plate, and a PNG of some crumbs. I put them together on Photoshop, added some text and the logo, and in the background, I made a radial gradient giving off the look of light.
Finally, when it came to the zipbag part, I found a picture of cake bites that I liked, as well as a pattern that had baking imagery on it. I cropped some of the cake bites out to be a good display for the bag, as well as the pattern for the background to liven it up. I then added some shapes, the logo, and some text to fill out the bag and make it look a bit more professional.
