The identity was developed from the ground up to give a modern, clear and open look to the parliament. The logo symbol is derived from the most characteristic architectural motif of the Riigikogu building, its duality symbolising the two opposing viewpoints of coalition and opposition. Also the colour palette and grid system reference the building. An experimental typeface with 101 characters can be used for creating decorative patterns
