Concept
For this project, the goal was to translate a recently learned skill into a digital tutorial that could be shared on social media. The skill chosen, Gradient Mapping, was used to replicate the formal properties of learning resources that are commonly found online.
Approach
For the tutorial, the most important aspect was ensuring that it was easy to follow. This included adding text overlays onto the video to more clearly explain what was being performed on screen. Additionally, freeze frames with highlighted sections of the image were used to emphasize where to look and give an opportunity to pause the video. A before and after comparison was added at the end of the video to make the effect of gradient mapping more clear to the viewer.
