AMEN fourtheen

I wanted to make this illustration long time ago. It's really something that concerns me, because I experience it every day. Now for the bad season even more because I don't drive anymore with my bicycle, just with the tram/bus.

It isn't about religion, but rather the fact that we – and especially the youth – are so dependent on their smartphones. It's sad to see every day how each person in the tram/bus only concerned with his smartphone.

No other people perceive or communicating with someone – except of course on their phone.
I have seen groups of young people sitting together, but no one talks to each other. All watching on their smartphone – texting, watching or like something... And didn't noticed what happens around them.

This is a fact I really don't like. How dependent we have become on facebook, instagram, whatsapp and co?

I know this is an often discussed but increasingly important issue.
Hope this will change in the future – Amen! Let me know what you think about this!

I've started this after I came from celebration with friends at home – at 4am in the night, two days ago.

I've continued it the next morning and workd only 6 hours on it. It is my first painting with just 3 layers (lights, shadows and coloring), because at first it should be a really quick painting.
