In this student assigned project, the goal was to combine images using nondestructive image editing. Four images (a hamburger, bird, cow and mouse) were combined using layer masks, color corrections, and alignment of images. In order to make this image cohesive, there was a focus on the design principles of balance, alignment and hierarchy. The image was not believable until shadows were added and colors were adjusted. Cutting out pieces of onion from the hamburger and placing it over the mouse made it appear that the mouse was hiding, making the image more authentic. Throughout the process, there was a focus on light source, blur, color and focus.
