The newspaper project's purpose was to learn about the importance of contrast and alignment. This required taking a bunch of information and still make it interesting to read. It also put our hand skills to the test because we had to hand draw all the images in the newspaper with gray markers. This project was completely done in InDesign. For the newspaper I used the typeface Myriad Pro. I picked this typeface because it had a lot of options within the typeface. For a newspaper I wanted to have the same typeface throughout to make it look clean. There are parts of the newspaper I wanted to grab the audience's attention, which is why it is good to have a typeface with a variety of font types.
