"It's a reminder that we are part of nature and that taking care of our ancestors is taking care of our soul.
One of the problems in a modern society is losing contact with the soul, which in turn leads to extreme individuation and domination of ego that suddenly has to do everything by its own – no more helpful spirits, no more gods, no more mother nature taking care of us.
This work is to remind us that we should try to connect with the soul once again, and since repressed elements of the psyche tend to regress to more primitive forms in order to survive, animalistic forms are a good place to start. And what would be a better way of taking care of the symbolic jungle than taking care of actual places and animals we use as symbols?
If we look at nature preservation symbolically, we can clearly see that what is at stake here is our soul. I think that danger is far greater than going extinct – it's a danger of living life deprived of soul and meaning." - Dawid.
