Narrację filmu prowadzą obecni członkowie Komitetu na czele z urzędującym prezesem Mieczysławem Rokoszem. Dowiadujemy się o idei i potrzebie, która skłoniła ludzi do uhonorowania Tadeusza Kościuszki usypaniem pomnika-mogiły. Przez kolejne dziesięciolecia działania członków Komitetu ściśle związane były ze stanem technicznym Kopca, który wymagał ciągłych interwencji i napraw. Ale troska o inżynierską budowlę to jednocześnie troska o pamięć, tradycję, tożsamość i idee niepodległościowe.
Opiekunowie Pamięci
The film is narrated by the current members of the Committee headed by the incumbent President Mieczysław Rokosz. We learn about the idea and need that prompted people to honour Tadeusz Kościuszko by erecting a monument-mound. Over the following decades, the activities of the Committee members were closely linked to the technical condition of the Mound, which required constant interventions and repairs. But the concern for the engineering structure was at the same time a concern for memory, tradition, identity and independence ideas.
