Exhibition Design and Visual Identity

A speculative and design-fiction exhibition of prototypes generated through a series of participatory workshops with 9 Lebanese universities. Through fiction, forecasting, and extrapolation, it materializes possible futures and alternative scenarios through unusual future objects that challenge our tame views and the status quo.

Design here acts not just as a tool for aesthetic exploration but as a critical medium to explore topics such as emerging digital anxieties, ethical machines, DIY Currencies, living with cyborgs, techno-spiritualism, digital shrines, strange biospheres and mutations.

The exhibition was featured in many international press such as: Dezeen, Frame, the Future Laboratory, Wallpaper and more.

Main Themes
—

The prototypes were grouped under three main themes: Body Mutation: envisions the future of human physical integration with science and medicine. Digital Omnipresence: explores the potential dangers and implications of digital network signals and waves. Human Glitches: illustrates the interrelatedness of society and technology through extreme rehabilitative tools.

The Prototypes
—

These prototypes created by students from the 9 Lebanese universities, mix design thinking with critical design, serve as a catalyst for envisioning systems and services that we might inhabit in the near future, urging us to challenge conventional paradigms and reimagine the boundaries of what is conceivable.

Letters From The future
—

A series of first-person testimonial letters describing a normal state in the near future along with assisting prototypes. For attendees struggling with immersing themselves in the future of finding weak signals, these letters from the future help to catapult the ideation process.
