Pinoy and Dee’s Wedding

Character design by Dee Taar
3D Studio Max rendered cubecrafts by Pinoy Reyes

Conceptualizing for who we are as a couple was a challenge. He was an architecture student and I was in fine arts back in college, but we met through football. Over the last 9 years, we've pushed each other to develop our crafts and pursue careers we were happy to be doing. Eventually, Pinoy didn't want to be an architect. He loved 3D imaging, so he now works as a CG artist in a production house. I'm in advertising.

My illustration style is cutesy and he loves to make paper sculptures. We then came up with making paper toy versions of ourselves to show that we still feel like kids even though we've been together for 9 years.

I based the design on the outfits we wore the day he proposed. On the back of Little Dee, is a bun in cube form. I can’t show it to you cos I don’t have a back view of the rendered character.
The paper toys had many applications. We even had our prenup photoshoot wearing those cubeheads! (I will post the photos on a separate page because that was a fun collaboration with our wedding photographer). At the wedding, DeeNoy was part of the centerpiece and venue design, etc.

Our wedding was really very personal and made with love. Decors, flower arrangement, thank you notes, photos, videos, gown, suits, bridesmaids' dresses, and even my make-up were done by our artist friends. I may not be able to get over how much work we put into this project.
