A third year typography university assignment. For this assignment we were to design a booklet/fold out calendar on Matariki, the Maori New Year. The text content was supplied. I used the typeface 'Adobe Caslon Pro' and utilized varying wights, sizes and colours to differentiate the English and Maori languages, while also creating visual hierarchy. I added silhouetted graphical elements to create a New Zealand flavour and further link the booklet and calendar. This project was designed in 2011.
