The Outdoor Classroom was created at Creative City Public Charter School. A combination of a garden and natural play space, the Outdoor Classroom is a space for students to engage with hands on learning and active play. I co-led the committee to develop this space. Elements that are include in the Outdoor Classroom are: raised beds and hoop house, music area, climbing area, gathering area, and art/making tables. I also created activities that could be taken outside for special activities such as natural weaving looms and poetry pebbles.
