Lucie Dutton Design is a garden design studio specialising in crafting timeless, luxurious, and well-designed outdoor spaces, from small urban courtyards to large rural gardens, housing developments, and public spaces. With a primary focus on one-off builds in private residential areas, they seamlessly integrate homes into their surroundings. Their bold designs follow the shape, form, and proportions of the architecture softened with carefully considered planting schemes that infuse colour, texture, movement, and life.
During my initial call with Lucie, I already knew I was going to enjoy this project. Lucie’s aesthetic is very similar to mine, she was lovely to talk to, and the nature of her business really resonated with me. And, sure enough, the project went beautifully, and we’re both thrilled with the result.
To start with, I found out all the relevant information to help me create a strategic foundation. From there, I moved on to the visuals – the LDD brand is a timeless, classic luxury brand, emanating an understated and elegant feel. To achieve this, I kept the visuals minimal and simple, with meticulous attention to detail. The logo is a combination of geometry and typography, with a subtle muted color palette, and a clean and elevated font selection.
For the website, we stayed true to the clean, elegant feel of the brand, and created a beautiful, custom-coded website that further reinforces the brand’s attributes.
The final result radiates a refined, high-quality design, effectively communicating LDD’s unique character and resonating with the right audience.
