The over-robe has a close-fitted bodice attached to narrow sleeves and double-layered cuffs. It also features the wide and open neckline that was the order of the day during the 18th century.

Another popular clothing trend in the 18th century was the stays. Women wore the modern corsets made from whale bones to give a more contoured physique. The corset's parallel stitches enforced the linen material and accentuated the female body with a more detailed outline. It often featured lavish decorations in the front using a piece of bone, metal, or wood.
