Is it still type? continues Space typography, in form and content. This series is an alphabet of hybrid letters, a mixing of Arab and Latin alphabets.
The forms which come out can make us think of letters , but they are no more letters really ; their meaning and concept have vanished, they can be used freely as such.
Arab calligraphic forms bring curves and sensual delight, Latin typographic forms bring rigour in movement.
Through this project which is only one stage, I try to push typographic forms into extreme steps to renew their figure, their beauty, their use.
To work in volumes allow me to have a keen sensitive approach to letters. I model them.
