This is short paper cut-out, top down, straight ahead animation made in one day by a classmate and me. Our starting point was not a storyboard but instead just two characters that we had made separately that we had to explore an interaction between.
This is a second cut of the animation which was edited on After Effects frame by frame just to explore a more polished variation of it. Further, you can see my process for the character design, making the bird puppet as well as a few explorations I did on the Stopmotion Studio mobile app.
The original character is a collage made with cut outs from random photographs which I then converted to a character for which I could create a 2D puppet put together with paper, tape and some thin wire.
