I titled this cover 'My Little Night Light' to capture its essence. In life's varied stages, we all yearn for hope—a guiding beacon amidst uncertainty. This artwork serves as a comforting lullaby in the night, a gentle reminder of resilience and optimism that accompanies me through life's peaks and valleys.
While I was working on this piece, my beloved dog passed away on the same day, casting a shadow of grief over my creative process. There were nights when the pain was overwhelming, and I felt tempted to abandon both the artwork dedicated to my dog and my participation in this collaboration. The thought of drawing him, knowing he was no longer with me, was too agonizing to bear.
Yet, amidst the sorrow, I found the strength to persevere. I knew that creating this tribute was essential—it was my way of honoring his memory and preserving the special bond we shared. This artwork serves as a beacon of remembrance, illuminating the cherished moments we spent together. In my darkest hours, these memories become my guiding light, offering solace and comfort.
The growing dog in my design serves as a powerful symbol of our loved ones. Just like a loyal companion, it remains by our side through life's deepest valleys and darkest forests, always ready to illuminate our path with its unwavering light. Its growth represents the enduring presence of those we hold dear, reminding us that they are never truly gone but continue to guide and inspire us, even in the most challenging of times.
