Cleopatra's touch
at the Roosevelt Hospital, New York - NYC
The needs of a cancer patient go far beyond medical care. They extend to human needs for attention, comfort, convenience, and rest. Helen Sawaya Fund, established by Fuad Sawaya in 2005 in beloved memory of his wife Helen, answers to such needs. The originating idea came from Helen’s physician and dear friend, Dr. Gabriel Sara. After witnessing Helen’s difficult battle as well as countless other cancer patients’ struggles during treatment, he noted the power of little things that can, in reality, make a big difference in a patient’s daily life.
Thanks to a generous grant from Dr. Agnes Varis, Helen Sawaya Fund has been able to organize free make-up sessions on mondays with professional make-up and hair stylist Lisset Cawley.
I had the opportunity to design the flyer, the poster and appointment cards.
