This personal project started with an art challenge by One Million One Month, which is a non-profit project aiming to raise awareness about endangered species through art. They put up a prompt-list made of 30 endangered species, one for each day of the month. I decided to make short comics for each species, that illustrate one interesting fact about them, and made a total of nine.
This was back in 2020. Two years later, I adapted all the comics into a small book, to sell at Indie Comix Fest, a travelling comic festival across different cities in India. I named it, ' Species that are funny but seriously critically endangered '. The book captured some quirky fun characteristics of a couple of endangered species through single panel or multi-panel comics along with some more information in text about each species.
